K-ON First Impressions
K-ON, the show everyone has been talking about lately, seems to have really taken off. For once in a long time I was able to hop on the bandwagon and watch as the new episodes came out. Though I must be honest, it really reminded me of a another Melancholy of Haruhi, not that its a bad thing.
I was really surprised to see that Mio became the top character of the show. I did not expect that XD, some otaku I am. I think she is an awesome character, but Yui is the one who really made me laugh.
Animation in the series is great, character design is awesome, but honestly…story line did not really hit me too much. I understand it is kinda slice of life, but it still does not grab me too much. I hope I do not get flamed for saying that. I thought it was really funny that only after ep 3 or 4 came out I saw a Mio doujin already out XD. I have no idea if that is common with new shows like this or not.
Anyway……I love the show, going to keep watching it, I do recommend it to fans of Haruhi, you will really appreciate some of the minor similarities ^^ Definitely going to do a follow up post based mainly on the characters here soon XD, so be prepared for that.
Things are looking up/Kodomo no Jikan Review
Finally one morning where I wake up and feel pretty good. I went to school today again like usual felt pretty decent, but I am still on meds. I feel much better though, only bad thing is my voice still sounds like crap. My girlfriend was worried sick about me there for a bit, so nice to have people care. Also thank you all for the comments on getting better. Really appreciate checking my blog and getting those. Enough of that though. It is time to get things back to normal.
After watching and finishing Kodomo no Jikan it gave me the interesting idea to do anime/manga recommendations. Reason this was decided is because typically every series I watch it something that I have seen on Danny Choo or someone elses blog. Manga on the other hand I pick up on a whim, but that is not the point. Since I finished Kodomo no Jikan I shall do my grading of it ^_^.
Kodomo no Jikan
Summary:
It’s the first day as an elementary school teacher for Daisuke Aoki and he’s standing outside the class room, fully dressed in his suit.
His aim is to be the “brother-like teacher”.
As the classroom door opens, Aoki finds himself nervous. He proceeds through the door and walks into his students just when they’re changing clothes. They start to scream, but he slowly gets the situation under control. Then, one of the students; Kokonoe Rin, asks her teacher to “become hers”.Are problem children the result of how they were raised? Can the class teacher really be responsible for changing the behavior? As a teacher Aoki sees troubles to overcome.

Overall this series was very good. The artwork was not something to be raved over it seems just the same as any anime today. The character design has to be commented though. I loved it. Rin and Aoki are simply amazing. They get along really well together and keep the show interesting. Kuro-chan’s undying love for Rin also kept things really interesting. Now for the break down.
Animation- Good, keeps up with todays quality
Characters- Amazing, loved them all (If you are a loli fan then this is a series for you)
Story- Decent, I would not say it had an amazing. The one thing I did like was the interesting situation the characters were in. For example Rin a 3rd grader in love with Aoki, the teacher.
Genre- Ecchi, Loli, Romance, Comedy, Drama
Overall Score- 7/10
Reccomended- Yes
Other Thoughts- I think the version I ended up watching was censored -_- so I am not sure about half the scenes. There was a lot they censored and cut out on me. I would love to go back and re watch this uncut.
