My Desk

I was looking around other blogs that I have missed during my absence and noticed a flood of “My Desk” posts.  It originally started with the Danny Choo contest that Mitoko mentioned to me a while back.  I did not have much to post about today to be honest, so here is my small meager desk/home XD.

This is the overall scope of my desk.  I just got a new desk a month or so ago.  I had some money coming in from graduation and decided this would be a decent puchase.  I listen to a lot of music so I have a sourround sound system hooked up to it.  It was orginially bought for my TV, then I had the interesting idea to rig it up to my computer, awesome idea on my part XD.  Wish my desk had more figures and such like most otaku *Sigh* damn being poor.

One of my favorite action figures I have.  The Epyon from Gundam Wing, I used to collect Gundam action figures when I was little and he was one of my favorite ones along with my Zaku.  The Epyon’s leg came off and I know that is not the original sword, but I lost some pieces to the other one.

My other figures I have on my desk, I got more on my shelves above my bed, but this is my desk post, not my room XD.  I will post pics of my room here soon.  I got new stuff since the last people have seen it.

My first wallscroll ever, hangs above my desk you can see.  The small plastic Card Captors stand came from a DVD I bought from Dollar General O_o…I kinda thought that was weird and cool.  My Rurouni Kenshin poster hangs on next to my desk, above it is one of my Shana posters.

My bunny!!!!!! My girlfriend and I bought Skeleanimals representing each other in our relationship.  Her being the bunny, and me the cat.  She bought the bunny first, then sent it to me for me to keep.  Then I bought her the Kitty from KidNemo.  Thank you KidNemo for having it in stock, they are very hard to find it seems, most other places were sold out.

This is my 2nd desk I have in my room.  it is mainly used as a host for our internet.  My usb modem I got from Alltel is hooked up to my computer and set up as a shared connection to my router that broadcasts it wirelessly to the other computers in my house.  The plastic cabinents is where I keep my misc computer parts that I pulled from other computers over the years.

That is my workspace, and home I guess you can say.  Of course nothing fancy, not covered in figma like most otaku (though I wish it was XD) Hope you like ^^

K-ON First Impressions

K-ON, the show everyone has been talking about lately, seems to have really taken off.  For once in a long time I was able to hop on the bandwagon and watch as the new episodes came out. Though I must be honest, it really reminded me of a another Melancholy of Haruhi, not that its a bad thing.

I was really surprised to see that Mio became the top character of the show. I did not expect that XD, some otaku I am.  I think she is an awesome character, but Yui is the one who really made me laugh.

Animation in the series is great, character design is awesome, but honestly…story line did not really hit me too much.  I understand it is kinda slice of life, but it still does not grab me too much.  I hope I do not get flamed for saying that. I thought it was really funny that only after ep 3 or 4 came out I saw a Mio doujin already out XD. I have no idea if that is common with new shows like this or not.

Anyway……I love the show, going to keep watching it, I do recommend it to fans of Haruhi, you will really appreciate some of the minor similarities  ^^ Definitely going to do a follow up post based mainly on the characters here soon XD, so be prepared for that.

Not Dead Yet!!!!

Wow, it would seem people actually go to my little old blog even as I blissfuly move through my life doing….nothing XD.  I really do appreciate the views I have been getting since I have been away, and also appreciate the comments as well.

Good news though, I am back with renewed vigor.  (Bad news for those who hate me XD) Those who read and paid attention knew I had dial up *sigh* Though that time is over, due to the advancement in my area technology I have achieved one step closer to DSL, it is EVDO.  If you don’t know, google it XD, that is not what this post is about.

All in all, I have been able to keep up with some great anime shows lately, kept more informed of whats going on, and overall dabble my virign feet in the glories of broadband internet.  Which is also good news for the readers meaning I can expand out my blog post topics, shared, media, blah blah blah.

Alright now down the nitty gritty. During my absense, I am sure  my fellow bloggers must have thought “WTF!?” why is that loser still on my blogroll he does nothing.  Which I do not blame you if you removed me.  For those that actually kept me on the blogroll, thank you ^^As a apology to those who I just sorta….blah left I keep my blogroll the same, I do not change one thing, it helps advertise the blogs I used to (and still) love.  If you have any issues, please contact me to resolve them.

As for the blog upgrades and changes.  I will be posting as I have before, getting a feel for posting again.  I might not post everyday as before, but I shall try if I am able.  I am going to change the look of the blog here soon, but first I want to work on my content mainly.
