Seasonal Desktops

Yesterday I was fairly bored and was browsing through my wallpapers I have saved to my computer.  Upon the searching I was in my head trying to picture a nice desktop featuring something…well nice, but nothing too perverted.  I mean yes a half naked anime girl is always nice to have, but not all the time.  Then it hit me.  Halloween is coming up soon, so how about a Halloween wallpaper.  Luckily I had a few and chose the one above.

Most of you know what my desktop looks like, so no need to give a screenshot, plus I am sure most would much rather have a wallpaper without my icons all over it XD.  The timing for a Halloween theme computer was good.  Remember Mabinogi?  That MMO I posted about some time ago, well my girlfriend decided she wanted to play it with me.  She downloaded it on her crazy fast internet nearly 800 Kb/s…*sigh* mine is…3 Kb/s….curse her internet XD.

I got the game updated and noticed that even in MMO land people are decorating for Halloween with the town banners, pumpkins in the town square, as well as the Halloween events taking place.  Though during my play I was showing Michelle (gf) how to play.  Though she figures things out quickly…she is a genious.  Even had a few romantic moments here and there.

My question, do you enjoy holiday events in your MMO games?  Do you decorate your desktop for different holidays?

I definitely pick my desktop backgrounds based on what time of year it is/what the weather is like. Sometimes in the summer I’ll miss the beauty of the winter with snow, etc… sometimes in the winter I’ll miss the summer…

But definitely if I find a good-looking wallpaper (has to be 1920×1200 for my monitor, so they’re actually kinda rare) fitting a season or holiday, I change it. Otherwise I just get something nice-looking from a site like http://interfacelift.com

I use to but that was a thing in the past.
I leave my desktop wall as it is until I feel like changing it.

@Calan: I will change my sometimes…depends on my mood really. I imagine walls for a widescreen must be pretty hard. Which is the reason I never really wanted a wide screen monitor XD too lazy to look for wallpapers that fit

@Optic: That really is me right there. The only reason I changed mine to Halloween was on a whim. I was sleepy from a late night and needed something to do to wake myself up this morning.

I’m one of those people who doesn’t like to change their desktop wallpaper…
I still have my wallpaper for around a year or 2 now…
Well, it is pretty nice to see some seasonal wallpaper…

I have a rather large collection of Fate/Stay Night wallpapers but not a lot of those have the theme of North American/European holidays. I do have one of Chinese New Year, Chrismas and some summer ones where the girls are in kimonos (sp?)

I generally like to change my desktop based on season or holiday, but mood takes precedence. If anything, I’d end up choosing based on what’s currently airing (my current background being a wonderful pic of Mizuki Hayama). I usually make the shift in December for Christmas though; there are TONS of great Christmas-themed anime pics out there, and it’s a lot more fun to look at them during the season.
